“I’ve learned modesty, how to be humble, and know deep down that I have a passion to inspire. I inspire others with the inspiration I see around me. My purpose has never been more clear. I have lost a lot of friends this year: 3 overdoses and 3 suicides. Two of my best friends are no longer here and that’s been really tough. I try to use that as motivation, but it’s hard when every few months, there’s another one gone. All I know is that right now I have a fire in my belly to make a difference and create change.”

“If you’re struggling right now and things in your life are feeling overwhelming, don’t look at the whole thing and try to solve it all at once. Just make ONE change. It’s a really long fall to rock bottom, but it takes only one step to start moving back up. Right now I am part of a small statistic (of those that recover from an opiate addiction). I want to make that number bigger and so I have a responsibility to help as many of my brothers and sisters as possible.”
